Just another mom blog…

For this child, I have prayed. (Samuel 1:27)

Yesterday, the night before the transfer, we had quite a scare.  We had an incident that very much could have threatened our transfer. Not only that, but it occurred hours before our embryos were due to be thawed.  To make matters worse, we couldn’t get ahold of our doctors for a painstakingly long time.  We feared our cycle would have been canceled and our embryos discarded (can’t refreeze ’em).

Thankfully, one of the Docs checked her email and confirmed that our cycle was not lost and that things are still on the go.  We then got an email on Sunday (the date the embryos were to be thawed) stating that we had a few choices to make. We didn’t get that email until too late, so the following situation was the result:

  • They had to thaw 5 of our 6 remaining embryos
  • The 2 embryos that survived were not of the best quality
  • One embryo remains frozen

So we prayed that our embryos would survive the night and hopefully go on to become our beautiful, healthy baby.

The transfer went very well, here are some pictures:
